Love is in the air-port...............Manchester style.

Manchester Airport is set to play Cupid by offering passengers the chance to get their holidays off to a romantic start on Valentine’s Day.

The Northern Hub is on the hunt for couples flying through the airport on February 14th and will be offering one pair of lovebirds the chance to still have a Valentine’s Day date inside its terminals.

All people need to do is email in and explain how the prize would make their trip extra special, including details of where they are flying off to that day. A lucky pair will then be picked and be given the VIP treatment as part of their Valentine’s Day date. This will include Fast Track through security and a slap up romantic three course meal in one of the airport’s 12 restaurants.

Mike Ward, Head of Retail at Manchester Airport, said: “We believe no one should miss out on a Valentine’s Day date, even those with a flight to catch, which is why we have launched this initiative.

“With a host of bars and restaurants and shops selling a wealth of romantic items like perfume and jewellery, the airport is actually an ideal place to a have date and treat your loved one.

“I am sure there will be plenty of couples jetting off to some of our romantic destinations this February 14th so cannot wait to hear the stories and entries come through.”

As well as offering a lucky couple the chance to still have a date this Valentine’s Day, the airport will also have a host of romantic surprises throughout the day for its passengers. These will be shared live throughout the day on its social media channels including Fast Track passes, lounge access and goodies from duty free.

To put yourself forward to bag the romantic date at the airport, email with your reasons why, your destination, flight number and contact details – press.office@manairport.co.uk. Couples need to be aged 18 or over and the winning pair will be notified by Tuesday 11th February.
