The United Airlines Boeing 757 jet was operating flight UA627, with 166 passengers on board, from Denver and was coming in to land at approximately 1300 local time. The airport was closed for a period before a reduced operation was reinstated.
According to local media, a number of passengers on the aircraft suffered minor injuries during the incident, however, none are reported to be serious and most refused medical treatment.
