American Airlines will soon begin daily direct flights from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport to the Cheddi Jagan International Airport in Georgetown, Guyana.
The mega-carrier will operate daily flights from December 18th, this year and will be flown using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft configured with 160 seats. “This route will be important for customers in New York with cultural, business, or economic interest in the market, and we look forward to welcoming Guyanese visitors to the Big Apple,” a spokesperson for American Airlines said.
The proposed schedule will see the flight leave New York JFK at 1800 arriving Georgetown at 0040. On the way back the 737 leaves at 0135 to land back in New York at 0629.
