Air Italy has released its winter 2019/20 schedule this week which sees the airline focus on the optimisation of its routes via its Milan Malpensa hub.  The new schedule has been modified to offer even more convenient connections via Milan and to serve point-to-point traffic with optimised daily frequencies between Malpensa and Rome, Naples, Palermo, Catania, Lamezia Terme and Cagliari.

To enhance Air Italy's 2019-20 winter schedule, which includes 112 weekly domestic flights via Milan Malpensa, aircraft will now be stationed in domestic outstations overnight to allow for early morning flights into Milan, thereby providing optimum timing both for travel to Milan as well as onward travel with Air Italy.

In addition, to the above, for Winter 2019/20, Air Italy will be flying to the Maldives, Zanzibar, Tenerife and Mombasa, enhancing its already popular Africa annual destinations – Cairo, Dakar, Accra, Lagos, and Sharm El-Sheikh - and its North America year-round services to New York and Miami. Air Italy will also serve Fort De France with a charter service for Winter 19/20.

Rossen Dimitrov, Chief Operating Officer of Air Italy, said: "Starting today, our winter network is now on sale, and we are delighted to be offering the Maldives, Zanzibar, Tenerife and Mombasa which are all fabulous winter destinations and have been perennially popular with our Italian customers during winter.

“At the same time, by repositioning our aircraft to the outstations overnight, we will now be able to offer enhanced connectivity to our international destinations and better timings for those coming to Milan for business or leisure.

“Coupled with our new released Business Class product which is being rolled out across the fleet this summer, I am confident that these developments will provide our customers with an even more seamless and enhanced experience across the board.”

On Air Italy’s flights to New York, Miami, the Maldives, Mombasa, Sharm El-Sheikh and Zanzibar, Business Class passengers will benefit from Air Italy’s completely new onboard business product that was first revealed on the inaugural Milan-Los Angeles flight.

Featuring an entirely new tableware, in-flight dining menus, cutlery and chinaware that have all been specially crafted to meet travellers’ expectations, Air Italy’s Business Class passengers can also take advantage of the new dine-on-demand service.

“Complementing our new tableware and crockery, we have also launched our new dine-on-demand service, meaning our Business Class customers can select from our extensive à la carte menu at any time, and in any order, to create their own unique dining experience – all of which delivers yet again on our brand promise as we help our customers to – Imagine The World Differently,” said Mr. Dimitrov.

Air Italy’s new long-haul Airbus A330-200 offers up to 24 seats in the exclusive Business Class cabin making it possible to fly with maximum comfort in fully lie-flat seats with Wi-Fi service, an extensive inflight entertainment service and the personalized attention from our onboard staff.

The Economy Class cabin with 228 seats also provides Air Italy’s guests with highly personalized service, Wi-Fi and a wide selection of entertainment.
