Delta Air Lines flew 13.3 million people in February its latest figures show

The US mega-carrier Delta Air Lines carried 13.3 million people over its global network during the month of February 2019, the latest figures from the airline show. The airline also reports its load factor was 81.1% across the network which was slightly down from last years total and the firms revenues were up by 2.9%.

Other monthly highlights from the monthly results include a vast profit sharing payout of $1.3 billion to staff,  the second largest profit sharing pool in the airline's history. It was also the month that revenue flights on the Airbus A220 (formally known as the Bombardier CSeries jets) which debuted at Delta's New York-LaGuardia hub going to Dallas/Ft. Worth and Boston. Delta is also introducing a special 'paid day' of service for all 80,000 employees to use volunteering with charities and working in the community.
