Two new Spanish routes for Wizz Air

Wizz Air, one of Europe’s fastest growing airlines has confirmed it will start two new services from Castellón to Budapest and Katowice, from the middle of June this year.

The airline says the new routes will start on 16 and 17th June, with Budapest operating Wednesdays and Sundays, while Katowice will see flights on Mondays and Fridays.  The new routes are designed to provide countless opportunities for both leisure and business travellers.

Budapest attracts tourists in at least two ways – and not just because of the fact that the city is divided by the Danube River. During daytime the capital of Hungary offers a history of hundreds of years with many breath-taking attractions like the Parliament and the Great Synagogue while during the night the ruin pubs and the clubs come to life providing an ever-buzzing city atmosphere.

Laying in Southern-Poland, Katowice welcomes anyone, who would escape from the big city life for relaxing strolls in the parks or would love to see its historical buildings. The city has renewed itself in the 20 century, offering wider and wider selection of activities for all kinds of visitors.

The first WIZZ flight took off from Spain in May 2004 and since then the airline has continuously increased its network, offering now a total of 55 routes to 10 countries from 12 Spanish airports.

WIZZ, as a pioneer of low-fare air travel across Europe, is continuously expanding its network by bringing affordable travel opportunities between Spain and the rest of Europe. With more than 3.4 million seats on sale on its Spanish routes this year, WIZZ’s seat capacity has increased with 42% year on year, which further contributes to the country’s economy and stimulates the job market in aviation services and tourism sectors.

“We are delighted to celebrate today the announcement of two new WIZZ routes from Castellón to the picturesque Budapest and the Silesian city of Katowice, as we continue to create ever more travel opportunities for our passengers. Today’s announcement underlines our commitment to Spain, a market we have been devoted to for the past 15 years. Our Spanish travellers can now reach 55 popular destinations, enjoying our convenient flight schedules and fares as low as EUR 14.99/HUF 4590/PLN 59*. We welcome all travellers to discover these two new and other great European destinations while enjoying WIZZ’s low fares and great on board experience” said Andras Rado, Corporate Communications Manager of Wizz Air.
