Two new routes from Kyiv to Athens and Thessaloniki in Greece for Wizz Air

Wizz Air, is one of the fastest growing airlines in Europe, it is also the leading low-cost carrier in Ukraine, and from 20th May its vast route network grows once again with two more destinations added to operations from its Kyiv base.

The airline will start two new routes from Kyiv to Athens and Thessaloniki in Greece the firm confirmed recently.  The Kyiv-Athens route is commencing on May 21st with 2 weekly frequencies, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. While flights on a route between Kyiv and Thessaloniki are commencing on May 20md and will be operated 2 times per week, on Mondays and Fridays. 




Being one of the oldest cities in the world, Athens is famous for its rich cultural and historical past offering tourists a huge range of ancient ruins, museums, cathedrals and hundreds of theater stages to see and visit. Being the pioneer of high quality and lowest fares air travel on the Ukrainian market in the past decade, Wizz Air continues to expand and diversify its Ukrainian low-fare network in 2019. With these two new routes connecting Ukraine with Greece, Wizz Air is now offering a total of 45 routes to 13 countries from 3 Ukrainian airports in 2019.

In 2018, Wizz Air carried over 1.5 million passengers on its low fare routes to and from Ukraine, which represents more than 107% growth compared to the similar period last year and makes Wizz Air the largest low-cost carrier in Ukraine.
