Delta adds ad-free podcasts to Delta Studio in-flight entertainment

Following on from American Airlines introducing access to Apple Music for free for its passengers, US competitor airline, Delta is adding must-listen, ad-free podcasts to Delta Studio, available via seat-back screens on more than 600 aircraft.

With more aircraft featuring seatback entertainment than any other airline in the world, this is the latest chapter in the airline's commitment to offering a variety of complimentary entertainment options onboard.

Check out Dr Death on an upcoming flight — the latest binge-worthy, true crime podcast that follows the story of a charming surgeon from Texas convicted of widespread and lethal malpractice, coming from Wondery, the makers of the recent hit podcast Dirty John.

Scary stories not your thing? Don't worry — other ad-free podcasts coming onboard include Business Wars, The A24 Podcast, This American Life, Hello Sunshine Podcast and The goop Podcast.

And if movies are more your speed, Delta Studio has you covered with new releases like "A Simple Favor" or the widely-nominated "Can You Ever Forgive Me?" both of which start showing on Feb. 1, too.

Delta was the first U.S. airline to offer completely free entertainment through Delta Studio for all customers and flights in 2016 — Delta Studio also features:

Up to 300 movies — including those recently released from theatres — and around 80 foreign film titles
550 TV shows and 12 channels of live satellite TV on select flights
LinkedIn Learning courses taught by expert instructors covering topics like managing stress, getting things done, communication and career development
More than 2,500 songs and games like in-flight trivia
Delta Studio is part of the airline's continued investment to offer customers a suite of products that connect life in the air to life on the ground, from free messaging to the expansion of High-Speed Wi-Fi and more.
