Hong Kong Airlines celebrate once again taking the title as the most punctual airline in Asia-Pacific in the latest OAG’s Punctuality League 2019. The carrier also was revealed as the third most punctual worldwide in the most recent research from OAG.
Qantas leads Australia & New Zealand airlines for OTP with 85.65% of flights operating on time during 2018. This was only slightly down on the previous year when the Aussie airlines on-time performance was at 86.18%. Virgin Australia comes in second with 78.32%, followed by Air New Zealand with 76.70%. Air New Zealand drops out of the Top 10 for the region for the first time, dropping from No.8 last year

All 10 airports have seen reductions in OTP compared to last year. Average OTP across the 10 airports last year was 80.9% whilst in 2018, this fell to 78.29%. Auckland (AKL) and Melbourne (MEL) in particular have seen OTP fall by over 4 percentage points.
