KLM to head to Naples

In the spring of 2019, KLM will expand its network with service to the Italian port of Naples. KLM’s 10th destination in Italy will only be served in the summer months. The first flight to Naples will depart on 21 April 2019. KLM will operate Boeing 737-700/800 aircraft on the route. In July and August, KLM will operate daily service to Naples, restricting service to weekends only during the rest of the season.

The ancient port of Naples is located on Italy’s southwest coast. The city has about one million inhabitants and is also known as the “Capital of the South”.

Naples was founded by the Greeks and is one of Europe’s cultural gems. The characteristic old centre of Naples has been a UNESCO Heritage Site since 1995. The city is also world famous for its Neapolitan cuisine.

"Naples is Italy’s third-largest city after Rome and Milan and has the nation’s fourth-largest economy. The city has one of the biggest and busiest harbours in the Mediterranean. Naples is also renowned worldwide as a tourist destination, all of which makes it a valuable addition to our network." Pieter Elbers, KLM President & CEO#
