More developments for HOP! from Air France

Air France announced some new developments for its local regional airline HOP! that will see a tie-up with a bus company as well as a new set of fares on some routes and a new lounge for Lyon airport.

From December 4th, Ouibus will link 6 cities to the HOP! air network via Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport: Grenoble, Saint-Étienne, Saint-Chamond, Chambéry, Aix-les-Bains and Vienne.

For the first time in France, two companies are connecting their routes to offer a multimodal air + bus service. As of November 21, HOP! customers will be able to book their trip from start to finish, integrating a city/airport/city bus service operated by Ouibus together with their flights. In total, more than 4,400 HOP!+Ouibus services will be offered per week.

These bus trips will be offered to coordinate with all HOP! flight schedules, with an optimised connection time between the flight and the bus to ensure a successful intermodal experience.

Customers will be able to book their tickets up to 72 hours before departure on the hop.com website, from travel agents or by calling the Air France and HOP! sales departments.

New Lounge at Lyon-Saint Exupery Airport

After Paris-Orly and Bordeaux, the lounge at Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport is having a makeover and will reopen in early 2019.  This new 280 sq. m. lounge will have 85 seats and will offer improved products and services, with dedicated areas (VIP, relaxation and working spaces), climate and acoustic comfort with a view of the runways, a complete catering offer, connectivity with eligible access terminals and integrated boarding pass readers.

Et HOP! A Table
The in-flight catering offer ET HOP! À TABLE is gradually being introduced on HOP!'s short-haul network. The various savoury and sweet menus are now available on 4 new routes to and from Lyon-Saint Exupéry: Caen, Lille, Rennes and Rome. Already available on the Biarritz, Nuremberg, Venice and Prague routes, this service is now offered on a total of 9 routes to and from Lyon and 11 routes to and from Paris-Orly.

From January 2019, new dishes will be available and the offer will increase to 6 menus instead of 4. There will also be a kid's menu.

New fares
From January 15, 2019, a new fare range will be available on all short-haul flights. Both simpler and more transparent, this offer includes 4 fare ranges: Light, Standard, Flex and Travel Saver.

Each fare will offer a unique range of services and conditions and will be available on all flights, at any time of purchase and up to the last available seat on the aircraft:
- Light: not modifiable and non-refundable, with no checked baggage included
- Standard: non-refundable, modifiable for 70 euros, including one piece of checked baggage
- Flex: modifiable and refundable, including baggage
- Travel Saver: dedicated to customers with a travel saver card, with more benefits than the Flex fare.

For each fare, customers will have the opportunity to purchase additional services such as extra baggage, a seat plus, a special ET HOP! À TABLE menu etc. This new fare range is part of the Air France group's desire to harmonize its offers on the various short-, medium- and long-haul networks.
