KLM Third-quarter operational results down by 15 million

Air France - KLM released its latest figures this week which showed that KLM welcomed 25.8 million people to its flights during the first nine months of the year.

The Dutch airline also managed to make have an operational result of €573 million, during the third quarter of this year, down from last years €588. According to KLM boss Pieter Elbers, the difference of €15 million is "virtually the same" and due to rising fuel costs.

KLM ended September with a fleet of 170 aircraft, including 32 Embraer E190s, 16 Boeing 747s, 13 Airbus A330s and 13 Boeing 787s.
