Alaska Airlines drops flights from Albuquerque

Alaska Airlines confirmed recently that it was calling a halt to its flights for Albuquerque International Sunport to San Francisco and Orange County.

The airline says lack of demand was the reason behind axing of the routes, but it would continue to operate other services from the airport, including Portland, Seattle and San Diego. However, insiders tell us that San Diego is currently under review and may also be axed with an announcement due in November.

The airline also announced last Thursday the carrier announced it will begin daily nonstop service between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and El Paso International Airport, along with daily nonstop service between El Paso and San Diego International Airport.  El Paso is a new destination for Alaska.
