Sichuan Airlines will be starting a direct service to Tel Aviv from Chengdu next month the airline has confirmed. The service is due to start on 26th September as will operate twice a week - on Sundays and Thursdays.
The carrier says the flights will initially be operated by Airbus A330 aircraft featuring 277 economy class seats and 24 in business class. The airline plans to later introduce an Airbus A350 to the route.
The schedule will see the flight depart Chengdu at 0215 arriving in Tel Aviv 0735 local time with an approximate flying time of 8 hours and 20 minutes. The return flight leaves at 1525 and will get back to Chengdu at 6:00 AM on the following morning.
