Easyjet flight forced to divert by drunk passengers

An Easyjet aircraft was forced to divert to Bristol on Thursday evening because a number of drunk passengers became unruly and aggressive.

The Easyjet flight, EZY7208 was flying from Barcelona to Liverpool and was forced to divert to Bristol Airport after the passengers became unruly.  The intoxicated passengers had reportedly caused disruption on the Easyjet flight at about 11.30pm on Thursday evening.  Upon arrival, the flight was met by local police and with four passengers taken off before the aircraft continued on to its final destination.

Avon and Somerset Police say two 29-year-old men, a 26-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of offences linked to being drunk on board an aircraft. The officers are appealing for anyone who filmed the incident to get in touch.

"EasyJet's cabin crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and to act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers is not compromised at any time." The airline said in a statement

"Whilst such incidents are rare we take them very seriously, do not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour on board and always push for prosecution. The safety and well-being of passengers and crew is always easyJet's priority."
