Las Vegas-based Allegiant released their August results last week and they show nice increases in passenger numbers and seat revenue, while load factor decreased slightly, the airline put on 10.7% percent more flights. Total passenger numbers were up by 9.2%percent and revenue passenger miles was also up by 5.3% percent.
This impressive little carrier specializes in linking small cities to world-class leisure destinations and offers industry-low fares on an all-jet fleet while also offering other travel-related products such as hotel rooms and rental cars. The airline started in 1999 with a single route but flies 350 routes with a fleet of over 85 aircraft.
