Air Mauritius Bringing Forward Service Dates for A350

Air Mauritius has brought start date of its new Airbus A350-900 by an amazing four weeks.  The opening route for the new aircraft will be from Mauritius to Johannesburg in October and from the 2nd December operating the daily flight to paris.

The aircraft is schedule to arrive on 19th October and is configured with 28 seats in Business Class and 263 in Economy, bringing the total capacity to  291. The new arrival will take off from its base at Port-Louis-Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam at 9.15am to arrive at 11.40 at the Johannesburg, the return flight departs at 1.35 pm to arrive back at its home at 7.35pm. " Several rotations per week " will be carried out in A350-900 according to Air Mauritius who codershares with SAA on this route.  


As expected the A350-900 will then be deployed between Mauritius and London-Heathrow from November 4 to 15 with three flights per week, departing around 10.30pm, arriving the following morning at 6.35am. The return service departs 4pm getting back to Mauritius at 7.30 am the next day. Paris will welcome the Airbus A350-900 everyday from the beginning of December, 15 days earlier than had been expected.  

Air Mauritius is part way through a fleet renewal programme and the airline is schedule to welcome two Airbus A330-900neo next year.  To keep a uniformity of service, the Airbus A330's will be configures as the A350. Its understood that the cabins of the remaining fleet will also be refreshed to match that of the new arrivals.
