Three new international routes to Europe for United Airlines


United Airlines will be further expanding its impressive route network with the introduction of three new services to key European destinations during 2019. 

United have announced a daily, year-round service between San Francisco and Amsterdam and new nonstop seasonal summer service between New York/Newark and Naples, Italy, the only nonstop flight from North America to Naples, as well as New York/Newark and Prague will be introduced during 2019. The routes are all subject to government approval but represent an impressive strengthening to the United global network.

San Francisco to Amsterdam

Beginning 30th March 2019, United will be the only U.S. carrier to offer nonstop service between San Francisco and Amsterdam and is the airline's fifth nonstop flight to the Netherlands. United currently operates daily, year-round services between Amsterdam and Chicago, Houston, New York/Newark and Washington Dulles.

United has operated nonstop service to Amsterdam for more than 25 years and currently offers daily nonstop service between Amsterdam and its hubs in Chicago, Houston, New York/Newark and Washington, D.C.

The flight will be operated by a Boeing 787-9 and will leave San Francisco at 1455 and arrive in Amsterdam at 1020 the next morning. The return flight leaves Amsterdam's Schipol airport at 1450 which will land back at SFO at 1650.

New York/Newark to Naples

United will be the only US carrier offering a nonstop service between the US and Naples, Italy, when it starts the route on 22nd May all the way until 4th October. 

United's daily, summer service will connect customers travelling from New York/Newark to Naples, Southern Italy's largest city. Visitors to Naples enjoy the city's castles, architecture, art and world-famous cuisine as well as nearby Mount Vesuvius, the volcano that destroyed the nearby Roman town of Pompeii. Naples also serves as a gateway to the Amalfi Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and popular tourist destination.

This season flight will depart Newark at 1725 to arrive in Italy's wonderful Naples at 0805 the following morning. The Boeing 767-300 that will operate the route will leave Naples at 1010 in the morning and will land at 1405 in Newark.

New York/Newark to Prague  

Beginning 6th June 2019  United will fly a seasonal service to the jewel of the Czech Republic, the wonderfully historic yet cosmopolitan Prague. The service runs until 4th October and will operate daily nonstop on a Boeing 767-300. 


Prague is considered one of Europe's most charming, colourful and beautiful cities and has become one of the most popular destinations in Central Europe. Visitors to Prague enjoy its Old Town Square lined with colourful baroque architecture, Gothic churches and its famous medieval astronomical clock, the Orloj.

The flight is scheduled to leave Newark at 1805 arriving the next morning in Prague at 0825. The return departs the golden city at 1010 and arrives back in the US at 1330.
