Bird strike causes emergency diversion for Allegiant Airlines A320

An Allegiant Airlines Airbus A320 registration N222NV had to make an emergency landing at Orlando's Sanford International Airport following a birdstrike cause engine malfunctions earlier today.

The aircraft was operating flight G4 1592 and departed Punta Gorda at 0640 this monring and was scheduled to arrive in Milwaukee at 0819, but had to divert following the ingestion of the bird. 

According to local media, there are no reports of any injuries to passengers on the flight and bird remains were found in one of the engines.
