Hong Kong Airlines A350 Takes First Flight


The first A350-900 for Hong Kong Airlines has completed its maiden flight in Toulouse, France last week.  Now the modern aircraft will enter the its final phase of production, followed by further ground checks and test flights. Then the aircraft will be prepared for delivery towards the end of August.





Hong Kong Airlines has a total of 15 A350 aircraft on order and is one of many airlines in the Asia pacific region to acquire the special extra wide body long-haul twin jet.  Over a third of all orders for the new Airbus aircraft come from the region where the higher levels of efficiency and comfort combined with great range are most suited.

Hong Kong Airlines believes the introduction of the A350's to it feet, it will transition from small regional to global and renown airline. The new aircraft has already been assigned to the carriers recently launched premium long-haul route to Los Angeles.

The airline expects to take delivery of another two A350's before the end of the year which will be in time for its continued and rapid growth plans and developments.
